PORTRAITS IN PASTEL

Hi, my name is Tracey, an artist based in West Berkshire. I specialise in creating highly realistic pet portraits capturing the character and likeness of your beloved pet, my favourite part to do is the eyes as it brings the portrait to life.

 

As an artist I am self taught and work primarily in pastel, but love to dabble in graphite, watercolour and acrylics. I’ve always loved animals and had a passion for drawing since I can remember, starting with horses and ponies.  Having worked with horses gave me the opportunity to study them up close.

 

I use the best quality artists’ materials, a combination of pastel pencils, soft pastels and pan pastels on Pastelmat paper which is acid free, lightfast and archival, which helps to keep the vibrancy of the colours.

 

I still surprise myself after seeing one of my portraits frames, thinking ‘wow, did I do that’.
