PORTRAITS IN PASTEL

Hi, my name is Tracey, an artist based in West Berkshire. I specialise in creating highly realistic pet portraits capturing the character and likeness of your beloved pet.

As an artist I am self taught and work primarily in pastel, but love to dabble in graphite, watercolour and acrylics. I’ve always loved animals and had a passion for drawing since I can remember, starting with horses and ponies.  Having worked with horses for many years I have had a lot of time to study them.

 

I use the best quality artists’ materials, a combination of pastel pencils, soft pastels and pan pastels on Pastelmat paper which is acid free, lightfast and archival, which helps to keep the vibrancy of the colours.

 

I still surprise myself after seeing my portraits framed, thinking ‘wow, did I do that’.
