Pet Portraits in Pastel

My name is Tracey Evans, an artist based  in West Berkshire in the UK. 

In 2001 I was commissioned to do a memorial picture of a show cocker spaniel, and thus began my journey of creating pet portraits.   I produce the  portraits using soft pastels and pastel pencils on specialist pastel paper.

Pastel pencils are an excellent medium for capturing the softness and fine details of pets, making them ideal for creating lifelike portraits.

Over the years I have been asked to produce pictures containing both past and present loved animals.  Pet portraits are a lovely gift for a loved one, a dear friend, a thank you gift or a present just for yourself
